Immaculate Conception - Las Vegas Style

Not content with making the Statue of Liberty disappear or or having himself sawn in half by a circular saw and then reassembled, magician David Copperfield will attempt to impregnate a woman live on stage - without going anywhere near her with his magic wand.

Intelligent Design - Again

I know - I mostly just tried to laugh off the ID debate the last time I wrote. I really wish it were funny, we could all have a good hardy ha ha and go back to doing science the real way.

So, there are lots of smart people that know more than me. At Tech Central Station last week there was plenty going on. If you have time read all three of these in order.

In the second one, Douglas Kern, who I do not agree with, makes one true statement, his first.

1) ID will win because it's a religion-friendly, conservative-friendly, red-state kind of theory, and no one will lose money betting on the success of red-state theories in the next fifty to one hundred years.

Scary! Because I'm afraid he's probably right. These are the same people who elected GWB twice.
But as Max Borders says in the third article,
"But just because more people believe it don't make it so."

Finally for some good balanced arguments try this link.
