The Russians Are Coming! The Russians Are Coming!

Major news media reports apparently missed the news of the silver lining to the Russian invasion of Georgia's dark cloud. Last week ammunition was sold out all over Alabama. One shopper said, "Those Russians might have caught Georgia with their pants down, but Alabama will put up a fight!"

And if you've never seen the movie of the same title as this blog entry, well you've missed a good one.

Fools Gold

What the hell does gold medal counts really have to do with the Olympics? Nothing I tell you. Yet the news media is obsessed that the Chinese now have more medals then the USA. One clown I heard this morning was calling it a obvious precursor of the next couple of decades. Oh common! What does a whole nation have to boast about when an individual or team wins a competition? Bravo for the participants. Does China have any claim to greatness because of this.

You do know the Chinese Olympic players are state sponsored? We also know they cheat, like using 14 year old gymnasts. We all know this has become the biggest propaganda ploy since Hitler and the Berlin Olympics. The degree of control the Chinese government tries to hold over this whole event is in itself a true sign of what this is all about.

MIA

Yeah yeah yeah, a little time off and some vacation in there too with plenty of work in between to keep me busy. Sorry for the lack of posts (to all two of my regular readers). Some other B'field bloggers are missing too (hint hint).

Lets go for a quote and a cartoon, both courtesy of ALL HAT NO CATTLE

"A Republican politician from Idaho has endorsed Barack Obama. The last time a Republican switched sides was in an airport men's room." --Craig Ferguson
