Well I haven't done a good rant in a long time. Are we overdue?

Victims. What are they and when do they deserve special treatment. Okay this isn't really about victims, those people in accidents or acts of nature. Nope this is about all those who like to think of themselves as victims but are mostly self-serving whiners.

Michael Richards. A victim of himself. You apologized, now shut up before you make it any worse. Jesse Jackson ain't gonna help ya. No more n-word. Bullshit Mr. Hymietown.

OJ? Oh lets not even start. I did that a week ago anyway.

Muslim clerics that pray in an airport and get tossed from a flight. Well don't act like terrorists and you won't get treated like them. For that matter, were they looking for that treatment? This whole load of crap about Islam being a peaceful religion. These guys keep spouting it but where is their condemnation of their not so peaceful brothers? Where is their acceptance of Jews or for that matter Christians? When do they quit treating women as property? Going by CNN the other night I saw a story about a muslim woman in the Netherlands whining about proposed laws against veils and burkas in some public places. Imagine if we tried to walk into a bank with a covering over our faces. Go someplace that is acceptable else just stop the whining. Oh and back in your homeland, if you get caught with your face exposed, they'll probably just whip you.

Lastly, the LA fireman who some feel was so victimized by being fooled into eating some dog food and wants $2.7 million dollars. The mayor seems to have a little sense and vetoed the settlement. Some reality here please. Dog food is not poison. There is nothing about it that will hurt a human, some of it may be better than what we get as fast food. A firehouse is a strange kind of frat boy's club. That's one of the reasons it's hard to put women into the mix. These guys pull a lot of silly pranks on each other and believe it or not, it's has a lot to do with what makes them a part of a team. So here we have an African-American fireman who has apparently participated in his fair share of hazing, deciding when he eats dog food he has been humiliated. His lawyers, and a city council whose own minority member's vote seems to favor the settlement, think it's worth almost $3 mil of the taxpayers money. Give him a few thousand and tell him to go back to work and act like the fireman he's suppose to be.

There are plenty of others, obviously myself included because of this posting. So please stop pretending to be victims and I'll quit whining.

Childhood Reality

Such a disappointment that we were always lied to as children. No Easter Bunny, no Tooth Fairy. We all know if you dig a hole you'll end up in China. Wrong!

Catchin' Up

I'm back. I pretty much took all of last week off and now have spent a couple of days catching up on work. I stuffed myself several times last week, unhealthy but delicious. I'll just lay of the sweets and beer for a few - uh uh right.

What's new in the world? Nothing important as far as I can tell.

Pammy & Kid Rock split blamed on Borat (oh please - where does this shit come from?).
New alternative paper in B'field called the Random Times seems to have caused some controversy. Hohummmm...........
Xmas buying frenzy is in full force.

Well I'm guessing Olbermann may have already beat me to it.

Oakland attorney John Burris was a part of the "dream team" defense that earned O.J. Simpson an acquittal in 1995 in the lurid double-murder trial that captivated the nation. So when he heard that Simpson had written a book called, "If I Did It,'' Burris' response was simple and direct.

"Has O.J. lost his mind? I can't imagine anything more ridiculous.''

That seems to be the consensus. It could be said that the national reaction was split 50-50. Half the country thought it was the dumbest idea they'd ever heard, and the other half thought Simpson was out of his mind.

Oh, and that's not to mention the two one-hour television interviews with Simpson to be conducted on Fox television by Judith Regan, the book's publisher, on Nov. 27 and 29. Regan's company, ReganBooks, is a subsidiary of News Corp., which also owns Fox.

Guns N' Roses canceled a performance in Portland, Maine this week after being told by state officials that the band could not drink on stage.

Inspectors from the state fire marshal's office gave the band the no-drinking order when they came to look over the pyrotechnics planned for Monday's scheduled concert at the Cumberland County Civic Center, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Public Safety Department.

McCausland said the band had wanted to drink beer, wine and Jagermeister while performing. A couple of hours after being told that would violate state law, Guns N' Roses canceled its concert, he said.

After the cancellation, a band spokesperson blamed fire marshals for "making it impossible for the band to perform their show to the usual high standards that their fans deserve." The press release, however, did not give a specific reason for the pullout.

Jeff Austin, supervisor of liquor licensing and inspection for the state Department of Public Safety, said state law prohibits performers from drinking while on stage, and prohibits employees at establishments with liquor licenses from drinking on the job.

Ya gotta luv that last part. Can you imagine bartenders here not drinking?

San Francisco Values

Using Rove techniques the republicans tried using a typical scare by telling everyone Nancy Pelosi had San Francisco values. What did that mean? Oh we know what they meant but who bought it.

We have a dildo factory hidden in plain sight here in San Francisco, and in one sense I did get a Golden Ticket in that I got a tour -- a tour with benefits. But then doesn't every girl want to see where her toys come from?

On the afternoon I toured the Vixen Creations dildo plant I got much more than I bargained for. Sure I got to see acres and acres of erect, happy and proud colorful phalli waiting patiently in rows before being plucked, packed and sent to their final orgasmic destinations.


I also got to see the goop being poured into almost whimsically inverse molded penis holes -- and I immensely enjoyed the champagne-like "Pop!" each faux penis made upon extraction from its mold. Somewhere, most certainly, every time this particular cork pops, an angel gets her wings.

Kudos to The Bakerfield Californian for the First Five story. No matter how good the intentions of a proposition sound, there is always the eventual take over by the taxeaters.

Do you believe passing $20 billion bonds will fix our roads with no increase in taxes? Get real! The $20B will be $39B by the time the bond pays off. Now how do you pay that? Either you cut future spending or services or raise taxes. Pass an extra half-cent sales tax or else you won't get matching funds. Extortion at it's finest.

This republican hopes the democrats do take the congress. Make Dubba a lame duck. The less they can accomplish the better.

Election Time

Here we go. Last big push. Does anyone think this really changes the mind of voters at this point? I'd imagine most voter are decided. Most voters have already sent off their absentee ballots or will go to the polls and vote exactly what they would vote today. Why this urge to spend $$$ at the last minute particularly for what is mostly smear ads. Does anyone in California need to hear another ad about Arnie when the race is so clearly decided? Why are they spending money on ads? I guess if I owned a radio or TV station I'd be happy.

Election Thoughts

We're getting close.
Ronald Reagan was not always right. Many of the things he did, such as kissing up to the likes of the Moral Majority, stunk. But there were things he did well, some even admirably, such as his speaking skills. Here is a stump speech he gave in support of Barry Goldwater in 1964.

This idea? that government was beholden to the people, that it had noother source of power is still the newest, most unique idea in all the long history of man's relation to man. This is the issue of this election: Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

You and I are told we must choose between a left or right, but I suggest there is no such thing as a left or right. There is only an up or down. Up to man's age-old dream-the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. Regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would sacrifice freedom for security have embarked on this downward path. Plutarch warned, "The real destroyer of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits."
