What's In A Number

Many people were making a big deal that at one yesterday morning the time and date would be 01:02:03 04/05/06. News articles and emails and blog posts galore. Woo hoo!

Mister Bates mentions it and I posted some geekier than usual (even for me) comments.

As noted by myself and numerous others, if you adhere to european convention, dd/mm/yy, you get another chance on May 4.

Over on this site some one points out a chance in June.

So, for example, if we consider the current "01-02-03-04-05-06" example, the rendering in the new format would be 2006-04-05 0102 03. Now, this doesn't look too promising, but if we truncate the millennium and century dates, as is common, then we can look forward to 06-05-04 0302 01, or May 4, 2006, one second past 3:02 AM.

to which the site owner comments.
Some people have entirely too much spare time...

Ain't it true.
Now about six seconds after 6:06 am on June 6.

That should get the prophecy nuts going.
